Specificity:Reactivetoboth14Sand70SHAVparticles.HA1andHA12recognisedistinctepitopes,whereasHA6recognisesanepitopethatoverlapswiththatofHA1orHA12.CompetitivebindingassayshaveshownthatallofthesemAbsoverlapwiththeepitopesboundbymurinemAbinasingleimmunodominantneutralisationsiteontheHAVcapsid.
